Stormwater Planning

Stormwater Management Plan, City of Hays, Kansas: Designed and executed a planning process involving key stakeholders and resulting in a long-range Stormwater Management Plan. The plan included structural and nonstructural measures designed to reduce flooding and improve water quality. Assisted in the development of the Operations and Maintenance Program. Prepared long-range financial plan including a stormwater utility. Designed and executed a comprehensive public education program including public meetings, advisory committee meetings, media releases, and newsletter articles. Prepared a stormwater questionnaire

Stormwater Management Program, City of Jefferson City, Missouri: Managed a planning process involving key stakeholders and resulting in a long-range Stormwater Management Program. Designed and executed a comprehensive public education program including public meetings, Advisory Committee meetings, media releases and newsletter articles. Prepared a stormwater questionnaire.

Town Fork Creek Flood Mitigation Plan, City of Kansas City, Missouri: Project Manager for Flood Mitigation Plan. The plan identified coordinated strategies to reduce flooding thereby improving the quality of life in the watershed. The plan was partially funded through a grant from the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA). This plan follows planning guidelines and can be used as model for City participation in the Community Rating System (CRS), a program offered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) that is designed to reduce flood insurance premiums.
