Meeting Facilitation

Air Quality Workshop, Mid-America Regional Council (MARC): Assisted with preparation and facilitation of the region’s Air Quality Workshop. The workshop involved representatives from government and business. Prepared the agenda, invitation mailing list, background information on existing voluntary measures and presentations. Recruited and trained facilitators.

Facilitation, Sugar Creek BP Amoco Coordinating Committee: Facilitate regular meetings for stakeholders interested in the clean up and reuse of the BP Amoco site in Sugar Creek, Missouri. Stakeholders include the cities of Sugar Creek and Independence, interested citizens, CLEANUP, regulatory entities and public health agencies.

Council Retreat, City of Mission, Kansas: Prepared background data, interviewed City Administrator, and arranged for retreat location. Facilitated council retreat discussion of issues regarding redevelopment, government style, and other first tier suburb issues. Prepared summary report. Prepared, administered, and tabulated council member and key staff questionnaire.

Mid-America Regional Council Solid Waste Management District Retreat:  Facilitated the 2008 Solid Waste Management District Retreat where solid waste issues and trends were discussed.  Based off of the discussions at the retreat, an action plan was developed that contained an updated vision and action plan for the Solid Waste Management District. The action plan helped to frame the activities to be completed by defining the objectives to be accomplished in the upcoming year and also identified some key short and long term activities for the District to undertake.
