Professional Experience:

  • Developed watershed management programs and plans, assessed watersheds for stormwater management units and developed a mitigation program.
  • Project manager for wetland delineation and permitting projects.
  • Experienced in presenting technical material to public officials and the general public as well as gathering and assessing comments and opinions from various stakeholders.
  • Designed and installed native landscaping.
  • Provided stormwater management services including stream assessments and conceptual designs of rain gardens, bioretention units and a wet prairie during redevelopment of existing property. Missouri Stream Team Level 2 trained.
  • Presented “Watersheds - Why Should We Care?” at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 7, 10th Regional Wetlands and Water Resources Meeting,
  • Prepared environmental assessments and environmental impact statements for federal, state and local agencies. (NEPA compliance).
  • Provided environmental site assessments for a variety of facilities including chemical and manufacturing plants, food distribution facilities and abandoned properties. Prepared technical work documents and reports for environmental investigations including oil and chemical industries, manufacturing, explosives production and biological hazards.
  • Conducted HAZWOPER and Hazardous Materials Spill Response Training for 12 years throughout the country to construction, transportation and consulting employees.
  • Rain Garden Expert for 10,000 Rain Gardens, a Kansas City metropolitan area initiative dedicated to educating the public about what citizens can do to improve water quality and manage stormwater on personal and community property. http://www.rainkc.com/workshops.asp
